Saree Blouse Class 6 – How to Make a Double Katori Blouse – Online Sewing Class

PREREQUISITE -  'Saree blouse Classes 1, 3 & 5"

Before taking this class you need to have learnt from Class 1, Class3 and Class 5 of our Saree blouse course.

Course Overview

In this intermediate sewing class by Savi’s Fashion Studio, you will learn how to transform your single katori blouse pattern into a double katori blouse. This involves pattern alteration, drafting, and sewing techniques to create a more structured and symmetrical front with two cup-shaped (katori) panels.

What will you learn:

How to modify the Class 5 single-katori pattern to create a double katori design.

Drafting only the front part (since the changes are mostly in the front) with precise seam lines.

Stitching the front panels using concealed seams for a clean, professional finish.

Adding cord piping to the front panels for decorative and structural detailing.

Learn to finish the neckline and sleeve hems with cord piping for a refined look.

Benefits of this class:

  • Achieve a well-defined double katori structure that offers more shaping and symmetry

  • Learn advanced pattern-making skills through modification of an existing pattern

  • Add professional finishing details, such as cord piping, to enhance the blouse design

  • Improve your sewing precision with concealed seams and tailored connections
